# Fiat to Crypto Onboarding

In order to complete transactions involving fiat as a starting or destination asset users must complete verify their ID for KYC and add payment details. They can onboard in 2 ways:

1. Connect Centralize Exchange by passing API keys:\
   &#x20;**< 1 minute, no document upload needed**

   Generating an API key in an exchange account only takes few clicks and is incredibly simple, especially for tech-savvy users. Users don't have to complete KYC or add payment details because they already have with their exchange<br>
2. Use Fiat On-Ramp:\
   &#x20;**\~5 minutes, document upload maybe required**\
   If the user has not already signed up with one of our on-ramp providers - they will have to complete ID verification  by uploading documents and adding payment details. \ <br>
